BC Organic Blue Dream and BC Organic Creek Congo flower are company’s first Canadian offerings.
Rubicon Organics is delivering the bare necessities.
The company has announced that its Simply Bare Organic flower is now available online in BC Cannabis Stores and will appear in retail sites in the province next week. The flower is also available for sale at retail stores in Saskatchewan.
“Launching Simply Bare Organic into our home province of B.C. is a key step toward achieving Rubicon Organics’ 2020 goals, and with the quality of our organic product and our high tech facility nearing full capacity, we are well-placed to compete in the premium segment of the cannabis market,” said Jesse McConnell, CEO of Rubicon Organics.
Two products from the Simply Bare Organic line will lead the charge: BC Organic Blue Dream and BC Organic Creek Congo. Blue dream is a sativa-dominant strain containing high THC potency and a strong blueberry aroma; Creek Congo is a sativa-dominant hybrid with a spicy aroma. Both have exceptional terpene profiles, according to the company.
“Quality cannot be rushed, which is why we take the extra time to hang dry and cold cure our flowers, all of which are cultivated in our proprietary living soil,” McConnell said. “Packaged in recyclable glass jars, Simply Bare Organic flower delivers the high-quality cannabis that Canadian consumers are demanding.”
Last year, Rubicon touted the the variety of strains available in its newly licensed, 125,000 sq. ft. facility in Delta, B.C., as it began to gear up for production.
“Our extensive genetic library features unique stabilized cultivars previously developed in the medical cannabis market and will be instrumental in our breeding program where we commit to bringing new and exciting strains to the Canadian market,” McConnell said.
“Plant genetics critically underpin our promise of high-quality, terpene-rich organic cannabis,” she said, adding that the library also “includes cultivars not previously available in the Canadian market, including Sour Cookies and Creek Congo, both known for their outstanding flavour and terpene profiles.”
