Bif Naked is ready for an encore.
The Canadian singer, author and occasional actor has launched a new line of organic CBD products that is expanding to Europe next month, and Australia and New Zealand soon after, reports The Georgia Straight. The triple threat has a new single on the way, too, but she’s more interested in talking about the benefits of CBD.
“So many people, including myself, are used to popping over-the-counter drugs for almost everything,” she said. “And yet, it’s absolutely no secret that CBD, according to real-life testimonials, has the proven potential to positively affect these issues, and many more,” she added.
Her company, Mona Lisa Healing, offers lab-tested CBD tinctures produced from organic B.C. hemp, which the singer claimed can help treat conditions ranging from anxiety and depression to muscle aches and migraines. The 30 ml tinctures are available in different potencies and range in price from $79.99 to $199.99.
“We want to ensure the benefits of CBD are available to everyone, no matter their socioeconomic status,” she emphasized. “There’s a lot of price gouging in the CBD world and one thing important to me is the belief that great health should be available to every single person within communities around the world, not just an elite market who can afford specialty products and services.”
While CBD is not a miracle cure-all, it has been found to have anti-inflammatory and neuro-protective properties that can enhance a person’s state of well-being. Taking CBD has been said to play a role in helping reduce stress, get a good night’s sleep, stay calm and less anxious, improve athletic performance and provide relief from aches and pains.
As CBD does not have the psychedelic properties found in THC, CBD products will not get the user high. However, if a person hasn’t used CBD before, start out small, perhaps something like a 5 mg dose.
Bif Naked will be on hand in Vancouver next week to participate in the panel, “An Enlightening Discussion”, at the Wellness Show. Her new single is slated to arrive on Valentine’s Day.
